Day 1: Already a Coffee Snob.

First things first. Friends please don’t send me snapchat videos. Internet is very slow here. Thanks!

I am in love with this country already. It’s the people really. The food is also good, but I am pretty sure I have been having pseudo Ethiopian food in my hotel. I will be in the hotel for 10 days and then move to a host family for community based training! This is all really exciting and I want to tell you all more but I don’t have much time right now.

Fun facts:

I have been confused for being Ethiopian several times already. It’s only been two days.

We can’t drink the tap water here, or brush our teeth with it, but I just realized i have been making wudu with it…

I can hear the Athan in the morning even though I am not exactly in a muslim region.

I drink over 3 cups of coffee everyday. It’s more like express shots for me. I’ll do a whole blog post on coffee one day.

Ethiopian people drink a minimum of 9 cups.
